Gordon Russell double helix sideboard

Designed in 1951 for the Festival of Britain by David Booth and Judith Ledeboer and manufactured by Gordon Russell.  A superb example of classic British mid century design.

Made from mahogany with birch ply doors venered with Bombay rosewood that have been machine cut to expose the white birch below.

The sideboard presents beautifully, it has been professionally stripped and finished with a spray lacquer.  

The felt lining in the interior cutlery tray is worn.
