Le Corbusier Cassina LC4 chaise

Genuine, vintage LC4 for Cassina originally designed by Le Corbusier in 1928.

Instantly recognisable, rarely available Bauhaus classic, this is one of the most famous lounge chairs ever designed.

Black leather on a polished chrome plated steel frame with a mat black enamel base.

This chaise, approximately  20 years old, is offered in very good original condition.  The leather has nicely aged with normal light wear.  The chrome is generally in very good conditon with the occasional isolated small areas of loss to finish, nothing to seriously detract and mostly hidden beneath the cushion.  An LC4 If bought from new would cost in the region of £2800 with a 6-8 week lead time.

Superb quality, not to be confused with the many poorly made reproductions for sale, the chaise was produced under license from the Foundation Le Corbusier as indicated by the serial number and Cassina marks to the frame and base.
