Originally designed in 1958 by Charles and Ray Eames, the aluminium group of chairs are true icons of 20th Century design.
Manufactured by Vitra, this chair dates to 2000, it features a swivel, fixed height, 4 star aluminium frame with a dark green soft to touch woollen fabric rather than the usual hopsack covering.
The chair is in good condition with usual age consistent wear. The fabric is free from rips or tears and is generally very good. On close inspection there is an area of slight colour difference on the back of the seat this is only really noticable in certain light and does not detract. There are also a couple of small faint marks to the fabric on either side of the back just above the arms (see photo 4). The aluminium arms & frame have some scratches and scuffs.
All glides are present and the chair retains it's vitra labels.
