Originally designed in 1958 by Charles and Ray Eames, the aluminium group of chairs are true icons of 20th Century design.
Manufactured by Herman Miller, USA, this chair features tan leather upholstery with a 5 star aluminium frame on castors with swivel, tilt and gas lift.
The chair is in fantastic original condition, it retains it's Herman Miller label and has a label dated 1985 stitched into the upholstery. The aluminium and leather are both excellent, for complete accuracy the leather is very slightly rubbed on the corners which is only noticeable on close inspection.
The gas lift and tilt work smoothly.
A superb example of a vintage soft pad Eames chair, it is very hard to believe it is 30 years old.
