Originally designed in 1958 by Charles and Ray Eames, the aluminium group of chairs are true icons of 20th Century design.

Manufactured by ICF, Italy this chair has leather upholstery on a 5 star aluminium frame with castors featuring swivel, tilt & height adjust.

The leather is generally in good condition, it is rubbed on the edges and there is an identation on the seat (see photographs) but it is free from rips.  The aluminium is also generally good with the odd age consistent mark.

The arm that works the height adjust has been replaced but this historic repair seems to have been well done well and the gas lift works smoothly.

One of the four screws that attach the seat to the base is also missing although the 3 existing screws hold the chair well and it is stable.

ICF were one of the 4 original european manufacturers permitted to produce Eames chairs under license given by Herman Miller.  ICF ceased production of Eames chairs in 2004.
