Originally designed by Charles Eames in 1960 for the Rockefeller Centre in New York.  The Lobby chair was designed along the same principles as the Eames lounge chair.

This version of the Lobby chair (model ES 105) has a wider and lower frame and was designed for lounges and waiting areas.  It features dark brown leather upholstery with a chrome frame on black glides.

The chair is in very good condition, the leather on the seat is excellent as is the chrome.  There are some areas of scuffing to the rear of the chair principally on the top edge where the chair has swivelled and hit objects.

The chair retains it’s vitra label to it's underside.

A beautiful and super comfy chair, if bought from new this version of the lobby chair would cost around £5190.
