Pieff alpha sofa

SOLD

Large, dark brown leather and chrome sofa designed in the 1970s by Tim Bates for Pieff of Worcester and retailed by shops like Harrods & Heals.

The sofa has 9 removable leather cushions, the 3 base cushions sit on top of a quality pirelli seat support which is attached to the chrome frame and a heavy duty vinyl stretcher attaches to the back frame to support the 6 back cushions.

The sofa is in very good condition, with no rips, tears or stains just some light age consistent wear to the leather.   The chrome is generally good, for complete accuracy there are some areas of corrosion to the underside of the frame (see photos) however none of this is visible when the cushions are in place.

A
fantastic example of British mid century design.
