The AX chair is recognised as a classic of post war Danish design.  Designed by Peter Hvidt and Orla Molgaard Nielsen in the 1950s, it was the first Danish chair to be made out of curved laminated wood.  

The chair has not been in production since the beginning of the 1960s and it is even rarer to see this armless version of the AX lounge chair.

The chair have been professionally stripped and refinished with a polyurethane spray lacquer.  It presents fantastically with only minor signs of age.  

The chair retains the Fritz Hansen inked stamp to it's underside.
