Wassily chair for Knoll Studio

SOLD

The Wassily chair was originally designed by Marcel Breuer 1925, inspired by a bicycle and named after Wassily Kandinsky the chair has a tubular chrome frame with white (light cream) belting leather upholstery.

The chair is generally in very good condition however it does have a couple of scratches to the seat that have gone deeper than the colour, the largest one is approximately 10 cm long, both arms also show some rubbing at their ends (see photographs).  It is possible the scratches could be 'hidden' with the correct colour leather touch up pen.

The base of the frame is stamped with Marcel Breuer's signature and the Knoll Studio logo.

If bought from new this chair would cost around £1670.
