Rare and beautiful 'smoked grey' circular vase designed by Edward Hald (1917 - 1978) for Orrefors, Sweden.

Thick and heavy, blown glass vase with a smooth exterior and horizontal ridges to the interior which are used to create a stunning optical effect.  The grey darkens and lightens depending on position and lighting angle.

The base of the vase is signed and dated 1930 and numbered HZ48.

The vase is in very good condition with age consistent surface wear and scuffs.

17.5 cm high.
