Originally designed in 1958 by Charles and Ray Eames, the aluminium group of chairs are true icons of 20th Century design.
This chair, manufactured by Herman Miller, USA in 2011 features swivel, gas lift, tilt tension and lock with black leather upholstery on a five star aluminium frame with castors.
The chair is in very good condition showing only light age consistent wear. The leather is very good with some slight sagging to the seat area. The aluminium is also very good and all the mechanisms work smoothly.
Herman Miller currently call this model the Eames Aluminium Group Executive Chair with Pneumatic Lift, a comparable model in Europe manufactured by Vitra is known as the EA119.
The chair retains it's Herman Miller labels.
