Large, oak desk designed by Danish master Hans J Wegner for Getama.

A simple design with straight lines, the desk has an H shaped support joined by a cross-bar supporting a unit fitted with 2 drawers to front with rear storage so the desk can be positioned centrally in a room if desired.

The desk is in good vintage condition with age consistent wear mainly to the top. There are a couple of nicks to the veneer (each about 1cm long), 4 screw holes to the top and some wear and discolouration to the finish principally to the back of the top (possibly caused by some water damage), pictures  2,3 & 4 show the worst areas.

A very sturdy robust piece of furniture.

The desk has the  Wegner Getama mark to underside.
