Stunning 20th century British design originally retailed by Heals and Harrods.
Rosewood and chrome drinks cabinet designed by Richard Young for British engineering company Merrow Associates c. 1970, one of the rarer Merrow pieces.
The cabinet, raised on a chrome frame with a smoked glass under-tier features double doors enclosing an interior fitted with 2 adjustable glass shelves, 2 draws and one pull out shelf.
The cabinet is in very good original condition, the rosewood veneer is superb with great grain and minimal signs of wear (the worst being a few very minor bobbles to the veneer on one side and a scuff to the top at the very back. The back has had a hole drilled in it (see last photo). The chrome is very good and retains a strong shine.
